Pages to visit at this site

Some of the pages listed below were submitted by guests of this page, and some I personally transcribed. Please be sure to check actual sources. Every time a record is copied by people there are chances for error. Use these pages as a guide to locating your ancestors records, do not substitute anything you find on the web for the real record. There are names on most of the pages, including "early towns" that will hopefully help someone.

I am Kathy Huish, your coordinator/webmaster for Lake County, Indiana. I am the webmaster for the page, I do not have an enormous library in my home with your ancestors records, in fact, I dont have a single record book in my home. I'm merely here to put information on the web that might help you locate those records. To get records and other documents from Lake County please see Lake County Resources page. Thanks for stopping by!

In June, 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Indiana Comprehensive Genealogy Database. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties in Indiana, where collected databases would be stored. In addition, the databases would be indexed and cross-linked, so that even if an individual were found in more than one county, they could be located in the index. At the same time, volunteers were found who were willing to coordinate the collection of databases and generally oversee the contents of the web page. My name is *Kathy Huish* and I am the Webmaster for Lake County.
