JEANETTTE CHILDRESS IS BRIDE OF F. CARLTON EBERT

Miss Jeanette Childress, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Childress of Lowell, Ind.,
became the bride of F. Carlton Ebert, Friday afternoon at 1:30 oclock at the First
Methodist Church in Lowell.  The day marked the 24th wedding anniversary of her
parents.  The church alter was beautifully decorated with cut flowers and greens.

The bride has been a resident of Kankakee for sometime and has lived at 443
South Indiana Avenue.  She has been employed in the office of Robillard &
Holland.  Mr. Ebert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fed Ebert of Lowell.

The single ring ceremony was read by the pastor the Rev. W. L. Hargrave..
Because and I Love you Truly were sung by Ora Ebert preceding the exchange
of vows.  Mrs. William Black accompanied at the piano and also played the
wedding marches.  The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Mrs. Verna Zacny of Hammond, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and Miss
Eva Deardurff of Kankakee, bridesmaid.  Arnold Govert of Lowell served as best
man for Mr. Ebert and Harold Brownell of Lowell, an uncle of the groom, was
groomsman.

The attractive bride was gowned in white velvaray satin made with a sweetheart
neckline, and in the princess style with along full skirt which fell into a seven-
foot train. The veil the same length as the train was held in place with a band 
of seed pearls to which a blusher veil was attached.  Her flowers were a sheaf 
of calla lilies.  Mrs. Ebert modeled a similar wedding gown at the style show 
last fall.  The wedding veil she wore is the same one used at that time.

Her matron of honor was attired in a dusty rose moire taffeta with a brusher veil
and a head band of velvet flowers matching the gown.  The Bridesmaid wore
aquarmine taffeta with matching veil and headband.  Both carried colonial
bouquets.

A wedding reception was given by the brides parents in the church parlors for
150 guests.

Following a honeymoon in Indianapolis the young couple will reside in a
apartment at 936 Highland Street, Hammond, where he is connected with the
Northern Indiana Public Service company.

Mrs. Ebert graduated from Lowell High School and the Gallagher School of
Business.  Mr. Exert was graduated from the Lowell High School.

Among the guests were the following from out of town: Miss Ruth Klein, Urbana;
Mr. and Mrs. James Lane, Mrs. Ransom Murray and daughter Betty Lou, Mr. and
Mrs. George Zacny of Hammond; Mr. sand Mrs. Alvin Frerichs, Woodrow 
Bloomquest, Mrs. Minnie Lewis, Mrs. Clyde Preston, Miss Myrtle Seybert and
Miss Viola Fortin of Kankakee; Philip Brown and Mary Yeager of Lafayette; Mrs W.
E. Dearfurff and son Owen of Morocco
