Thomas, Pearl L. - age 79, of Hammond, passed away Saturday, July 13, 
1985 at the Miller Manor Nursing Home, Hobart. Survivors: three 
daughters, Mrs. Mae Francis (late Bernard) Eichensehr of Griffith, 
Mrs. Donnajean (Al) Heinz of Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Phyllis 
(William) Dixon Jr. of Champaign, Illinois; two sons, Robert Thomas 
of Pembroke Park, Florida and Kenneth (Rosemary) Thomas of Hessville; 
20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. 
Proceded in death by her husband, Aaron in 1970.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 11a.m. from the Virgil 
Huber Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Boender, Minister, of The Hessville 
Christian Church, officiating. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. 
Friends are invited to call at the Virgil Huber Funeral Home, 7051 
Kennedy Ave., Hessville, Monday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Abbie Hanson, 
Chapter #578 Order of Eastern Star will hold memorial services Monday 
evening at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Thomas was a life long resident of Hammond; a member of Abbie 
Hanson Chapter #578; a former employee of Edward C. Minas Co. in the 
Carpet Department.
