Lake County Star Jan 5, 1917 DEATH OF JEREMIAH McCOLLEY Jeremiah McColley, a civil war veteran and a resident of this vicinity all his life, died at his home on Harrington Avenue, last Thursday night of complication of diseases which had made him an invalid for several months. The deceased was suppose to have been 74 years of age and had lived in Crown Point For about fourty years, and prior to this time farmed a small tract of land southwest of the present fair ground. He served during the civil war in Co. G., 12th Indiana Cavalry and lived the latter part of his life on Pension. The decedent was married four times and from the first three unions several children survive. The funeral service was held from the home Sunday afternoon.
