   Jacob Houk, for some years township trustee, a resident of Crown 
Point since 1865, proprietor of a large shoe store, dropped to the 
earth in his door yard and immediately died, Saturday, about four 
o'clock in the afternoon, November 30, 1901, 59 years of age.
