KARNAFEL, Helen     Hammond Times   June 27, 1949.


Funeral services for Mrs. Helen KARNAFEL, 63, of 1021 170th. Hammond, who died

yesterday will be held at 9 am Wed. from the home and at 10 am in the St. Nicholas

Russian Orthodox Church with the Rev. Steven Kanyan officiating.

Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetary, Hammond.

Survivors include:

Husband:   Vasil (Wasil) KARNAFEL


Daughter:   Mrs. Mary LANGLOIS  Hammond.

Daughter:   Mrs. Anna CZERWONKA  Hammond.

Daughter:   Mrs. Sophie TARKINGTON  Hobart.


Son:   Metro KARNAFEL  Hammond.

Son:   Michael KARNAFEL  Hammond.

Son:   Georg KARNAFEL  Hammond.

Son:   Pete KARNAFEL  Harvey.

Son:   John KARNAFEL   Member of the Armed Forces.


Sister:  Mrs. Mary (nee Karnafel) MESNIAK   Harvey.

Sister:  Mrs. Perry RUSH  Hammond.


Brother:  Daniel KORNAFEL   Hammond.

Brother   John KORNAFEL     Harvey.


Sixteen grandchildren and one ggrandchild.

She was a member of the Altar Society and United Russian Orthodox

Brotherhood of American Lodge No. 66.

The Mysliwy funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
