Lake County, Indiana [Lowell Tribune, 17 Nov 1960] Ms. Paul Macy, Lowell Native, Dies. Mrs. Paul Macy, 61, a native of Lowell, passed away Friday Nov. 11 in Columbus hospital, Chicago, following an illness of five months. The former Henrietta Baughman, she was born in Lowell Jan. 27, 1899, the daughter of the late Henry and Amelia Baughman, prominent residents whose home was at 263 Clark street. Henrietta attended Lowell schools and left high school in her senior year to enroll in a private girl's school. Following college, she taught high school in Scottsburg, Clinton and Valparaiso. She married Paul Macy, a Chicago businessman who owns a drapery shop at 325 W. Huron St., Chicago. For 21 years Mrs. Macy was an investigator and supervisor in the U.S. Dept. Of Labor, Chicago. She was a collector of antiques and she and her husband were active members of the Chicago Yacht club. Mrs. Macy also organized and served as business representative of the Women's Upholstery union in Chicago. Mrs. Macy was a recent convert to the Catholic faith and the Rev. Father Howard Rafferty of Chicago officiated at a Requiem Mass at 10 o'clock Nov. 15 in St. Edward's church, Lowell.
