                           Miss Emma Karr        
                   (May 7, 1899  -  Dec 5, 1983)
Miss Emma Karr a long time resident of Gary, Indiana. 
She passed away at the age of 84, Dec 5, 1983 at the St Anthony 
Nursing Home in Crown Point Indiana.  
Survivors include Four surviving brothers= Arthur Karr of Delray  
Beach, FL. Bernard Karr of Chicago IL, Walter Karr of Griffith, 
Indiana. Martin H. Karr of Hammond and One sister Martha (Karr) 
Brom.  
She was preceded in death two brothers Charles and John Karr. Her 
Parents Martin Karr Sr. and Centi (Hessler) Karr of Calumet City 
Illinois, preceded her in death.  

Miss Emma Karr was a supervisor in the Obstetrical Department, at 
St Mary Medical Center in Gary Indiana for 42 Years. And retired 
in 1966. She was a lifetime member of St Mary Medical Center 
Alumni Association and a member of the Nightingale Nurse's Club.   
Funeral Service will be held Dec 8, 1983 at the Clarence Huber
Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in 
Hammond.
