IN Obit (from a newspaper dated Feb. 25, 1954) Clarissa Ebert, 71, License Bureau Manager, Dies The community was grieved by the sudden passing last Thursday noon of Clarissa Ebert, 71, manager of the Lowell license bureau, a capacity in which she served so competently for 10 years. She also was Republican committeeman in Lowell and through the years she was actively interested in local, county and state governmental affairs. Clarissa Reed was born in Crown Point, October 30, 1882 and passed away February 18th at Our Lady of Mercy hospital at Dyer, after a few hours of illness. A victim of diabetes, she had been in poor health for several years. Clarissa lived here most of her lifetime, coming to Lowell from Hammond. On August 24, 1901, she was united in marriage to Ed Ebert of Lowell . Surviving with her husband is one sister, Minerva Reed Olson of St. Joseph, Mich., besides a host of friends who join with the loved ones in mourning their loss. Memorial services were held Sunday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. in the Weaver funeral home with Rev. Harold Hotchkiss, pastor of the First Methodist church officiating .
