LEWIS CHILDRESS

Lewis Childress, 85, died at nine o'clock this morning (Thursday) 
following several months of illness and lies in state at the Sheets 
Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have not been made. Born at 
Sherburnville, Illinois, just across the state line, Mr. Childress 
has spent his life farming in West Creek. On Feb. 25, 1885, he 
claimed as his bride, Miss Julia Dickey of Grant Park.
