Obituary of Bernard J. NICHOLS, printed in an unknown
paper September, 1950.

Surnames: NICHOLS, FREDA, CLINTON

GRIFFITH - Bernard J. NICHOLS, 28-year-old veteran of
World War II Battle of the Bulge and three major
campaigns, died Friday at Hines Hospital, Hines, Ill.

A resident of 216 Broad Street, he leaves his mother,
Elsie, of Hammond; six brothers, Charles of Chicago,
George, Walter and Paul, all of Griffith, and Conrad
and William of Milwaukee, Wis., three sisters, Mettie
Mae FREDA of Milwaukee, Maybelle CLINTON of Griffith
and Joan NICHOLS of Grifith, and 22 nieces and
nephews.

Services have been set for 2 pm tomorrow at the Fagen
funeral home, 2828 Highway, Highland, with burial in
Earl Park, Ind.

Military services will be conducted under direction of
the GRiffith American Legion post.
